2. happening or existing by necessity: a necessary change in our plans.

I wish I could say I have a reason for waiting two weeks.  After that last post, things have definitely changed... Our home of 2 became a home of 3.  And not with a baby or a new pet, but with a16 year old.  With that said.  The newest post is Necessary: 2. happening or existing by necessity: a necessary change in our plans.

Vintage is very necessary.

I picked up this amazing hat at the local thrift shop.  Paired with a pair loose knit scarf or wrap makes a perfect winter-warm set!

Being on a budget makes shopping based on a necessity rather than a want!  I have managed to pick up a beautiful vintage rabbit fur coat.  ($6.99 same thrift shop).  Before I continue on; If you were a fur harvester what makes your fur worth more, a fine silky coat?  What type of animal produces a fine silky coat?  A happy, well nourished animal.  While I do agree some commercial animals are not treated well take some time to Google, "Commercial Chicken Farm" and "Commercial Rabbit Fur Farm"  (make sure to use the quotation marks to ensure accurate images.)

Commercial meat rabbit farms are not a happy sight, but there are few images for commercial rabbit fur farming, and most of these images are NOT from Canada.  The majority of people who have house cats and dogs know the signs of a sick, unhappy animal.  They usually start with dry skin, course thin fur, runny nose, drippy eyes, etc.  You cannot have a quality fur coat from a sad, unhappy animal.  Death is another story, but its all or nothing folks; You cannot fight fur with a KFC chicken burger in your hand.  Be responsible.  Buy from a Native American Company that uses as much of the animal as possible.  Buy used.  And same with meat, buy from your local farmer, buy free range chickens.   Education is Key.

And to match the fur hat?

My used combat boots: super warm, super comfortable, super durable.  And being made for the Canadian Army the quality of craftsmanship is top notch.

And in closing, the newest independent artist.  This woman is from the UK and specializes in Steampunk Couture.

My first pieces will include these,  unfortunately my closet does not have any yet :(

Check out and buy her work on Etsy!
Have a great weekend, enjoy the snow, and any Christmas festivities in your town!  Keep the cosmic shift in gear and try something new!
